Please mind: The OP asked if s/he can book Global Rate Break and redeem EEO. As this is a publicly listed rate which is also available at third party sites MR always accepted EEO redemption. Therefore I have no doubt that MR offers EEO redemption on a publicly bookable rate (confirmed by Kate on May 21st 2009).

My concerns are the knowledge of and the willingness to accept EEO as method of payment for the second free weekend night at Marriott & Renaissance hotels. As Marriott promote these offers, I assume they are glad if we use it. Remembering some issues at check in/out, I have the impression that some service professionals don’t see it that way. Thanks to the assistance of Marriott Concierge Team I always got what I was entitled for. But way that hassle on the first place?
