Was having a dinner party Saturday and somehow talk got to Hotels. And it then drifted to Hilton. I mentioned in passing if anyone there had miles - it was very wise to lock in an award BEFORE end May and the big increases.

One guy there has 109,000 miles from stays years back. He has only base (blue) HH status and NO airline status of any kind.

The thought of a week in Hawaii really appealed to him and his wife. HOWEVER one needs to be Silver or up to redeem ALON and GLON AFAIK?

I have never seen a thread seeking a fast way to SILVER, ( ) but this guy would appreciate any help I can pass on to get him there. Needs to have it confirmed by end month obviously. And as he lives here, things/affiliations that may work for Americans may not work here ..... have no clue.

Over to the experts .. anyone got any suggestions?
