"Responsible snacking on board KLM

Fair Trade chocolate is now available for KLM passengers on board. KLM strives to be at the forefront of corporate social responsibility and the idea of having ‘honest’ chocolate on board came from one of KLM’s cabin crew.

“We are carrying more and more sustainable and responsible products on board, and the Verkade chocolate bars really fit within this product range”, explains flight attendant Maaike Carli-Yang. When she wrote to management about the Fair Trade chocolate, the ball started rolling. KLM was already serving ‘honest’ coffee and sustainably caught fish on board."
