My first claim under the Best Price Guarantee has been denied. Here's the story...would appreciate feedback from members here!

I figured I had a valid claim for the room with two double beds. I purchased the room for $125.10, then filed the claim against Expedia's $119.

I was denied because Hilton claims the ballroom proximity rooms are priced lower than their room with two double beds at $125.10. However, such rooms didn't even display in their availablity when I made my query. I also entered no preferences in my search so that ALL available room types would display.

I've written back asking why the balloom proximity rooms aren't available for booking via their website. Had they been, I could have made a thorough comparison with Expedia and would have realized I had no claim.

We'll see how they respond....

Incidentally, I have made two successful claims with Hotwire for their "double the difference" program. Each claim was handled swiftly and professionally...absolutely no roadblocks along the way.

Can't say the same for my first Hilton experience!
