I think that the cat 3 status at the Sheraton is nice and it is my understanding that the rooms htere have recently been renovated. Word is that the Sheraton villas are in need of renovation and that the Westin has been recently renovated. Be sure to check regular rates and calculate the $/point value for using points. I was there in May and decided not to use points and pay for the hotel instead as I felt that I could get more bang for the points elsewhere given the favorable exchange rate. Now I stayed at the Radisson next door which was very nice and highly rated.....not like your typical US Radisson---it is worth exploring. I would happily stay again or at the Sheraton from what I saw of it from the grounds.

Note that all the Starwood hotels are in a typical resort area called Denerau...and a bit isolated from the 'locals'. However, if you rent a car one can explore the area not too far which would probably give a more local flavor.
