So lets say that I spend 1K in a week and immediately pay it off, repeat that 2 more times so that when the statement closes I have spent 4K, payments for 3K and 1K balance. How many miles do I get end of statement? 1K for the remaining balance? or 4K for the total account spend in the month?
4K. It is always based on spendings during the billing cycle.
payment has nothing to do with when and how much you earn - it only matters to keep your account in good standing, thus you can get the benefits.
