Fare class question
All,
Trying to book Europe trip - outbound is on 29 Sep on LH codeshare (want V class so I can use a SWU, but only can get W on .bomb) and inbound is on 12 Oct in V class (lowest class for the time I want).
When I call the 1K desk, all they find is H on the return (thus too expensive).
Can I ticket the above itinerary online and then call the 1K desk to change the fare class for the LH codeshare (and pay the difference)? I've gotten conflicting reports from customer service. Most of them said I have to cancel and reticket, but then of course this won't help because they can't see V class availability on the return.
