More than likely, Spring 2010 will mean the traditional medallion year effective date (once again 2/1 or 3/1).
Right.. Since the new DM tier starts in the spring of 2010, none of us would expect a DM card this month.
Do you really see DL sending out TWO sets of medallion credentials to DM's in the Spring? I don't. IMO, they will roll out of the Entire 2010 Medallion Program for FO, GM, PM, and DM at the same time, thus reducing confusion and cost.
You know we all seem to forget that big organizations like Delta are not as nimble as we'd like to believe. I believe Delta is already prepped to deliver as is described in the FAQs on the web site. I agree it would make more sense to wait and deliver credentials for one program but at this point I don't see that happening. We are all assuming March 1 as the roll out date, but from what I've read that date is a target. Spring is not March 1st, it could be April or May. Don't you think the whinning on FT would be loudest if no credentials were delivered until April or May? Probably a smarter management decision to keep both programs in motion on parallel paths until the new one is established. BTW, the timeline on the web site says 1/1, 2/1 not 2/1, 3/1 for new medallion credentials. Once again, I'm expecting 6 PMU for PM and another 6 SWU when the DM program is established.
