Do a search for "ferry" in this forum and you will find plenty of information. I took the ferry from BA to MVD in March and thought it was a breeze. I noticed a bit of movement but it wasn't bad and nobody appeared to be seasick. Just make sure you get the ferry that goes all the way to MVD and not one of the many others that go to Colonia with a bus transfer the rest of the way.
