1)I don't fly into MDW-too far from where I need to get to so that rules WN out.
2)Overall fares were better when there is an SNA option...

3)Sometimes I can't get the seat(s) I want on the nonstop flights.
4)I prefer AA's B757's over their MadDogs. SNA-ORD were exclusively B757s (though now, IIRC, there might be some B738's as well).
Fortunately, according to
MAH4546, SJC-SNA is not going to be cut, but only reduced in frequency.^

While I can understand it's difficult running a Jungle-Jet up against WN's B737's or VX's A320s, its still a shame AA couldn't get all of the other routes to work -thanks in part to their over-bloated cost structure...way to go....whoohoo (so Jacobin777 says in an
extremely sardonic tone).
Maybe one day if we see the Silicon Valley Area economy pick up again and AA decides to start some B787 flights out of SJC and if AA's cost structure is low enough, will we see AA's SJC hub be something what it once was...I can hope can't I?
