This is exactly why I care. I never travel for work to locations with ICs, but I put in well over 100 nights last year in ICH hotels (somewhat less this year it looks like). When I plan vacations, I use BOGOs and points in combination with paid stays to enjoy ICs wherever we may go. It is most often one location, but I try to hit a couple more to get at least 3 unique ones.

If I could not maintain my RA based mostly on ICH stays, I'd shift it all to SPG or somewhere else where I would get actual benefits for all my travel. I am willing to sacrifice any real benefits on work travel in exchange for good treatment on personal travel.
