I'm not very clear what you regarded as objectionable. Was it that the plate was overflowing and he should have used two plates to stop it spilling on the floor? Or that he had ate a lot and others went without? Or that it cost BA an excessive amount of money? Or that he ate too fast and this was somehow vulgar, maybe noisy? Or that he ate at the computer area and this is somehow bad?
I've re-read your post and genuinely can't tell what the issue was.
