I agree with
rkkwan on the stuff about petrol and parking... I've rented with Hertz down there several times, out of BNE, SYD, MEL, and PER, and it's all very straight-forward. Fortunately I know how to drive on both sides of the road, it's a skill I can practice quite regularly in West Texas.
