AA uses 1L more than not.
On a side note, I was on AA and there was an issue with the main door upon deplaning in MSY. We used the exit at the tail of the Super 80 which is the one we are instructed to use in the safety demo that a flight attendant must open.
Boarded today at 1L from C11 at LGA. I believe they only have one gate at LGA capable of boarding the 757's from 2L (flight to DEN was parked at this one). First time I had boarded from 1L on a UA 757.
