Also, for a mere 1100€ (CDG/MXP/CDG) one can't possibly hope for AF/ADP to transport such cheap fare paying passengers in a 6000......!

You'll all know the 3000 version however. It's the one where you can see the driver behind the protective glass screen, reading the newspaper/playing personal videogames/chatting up the AF ground staff dollybird as said driver pays more attention to his immediate environment and wellbeing as said driver does with your safe transportation and wellbeing, as a member of the public, to the plane.

No worries, you are a status pax with Cobus. The Cobus 3000 is the highest end model that they do. They actually also offer it with air conditioning and maintenance contract, but surely Air France deems that it's never really hot in Paris (remember how some months ago they told us that it's never really cold in Paris, which is why they do not need any snowploughs at CDG), and maintenance is for softies.

Cobus is a great compliment to any Flying Blue membership. Unlike Flying Blue proper, they actually send gifts to their top tier members. For my millionth mile on Flying Blue and Air France, I got this (click on the link): my own little COBUS model made from paper!. I immediately put away that plonky ole Mont Blanc pen and the leather folder I got from Lufthansa. This COBUS model is so much more prestigious!

Chatting to one of the COBUS drivers on one of the AF-branded buses at CDG, he explained to me that COBUS are at the very heart of Air France's positioning as a top class carrier. Just as with the new branding, the COBUS look and feel incarnates all the Air France values: the sardine-like feeling at 45 Celsius inside shows that Air France cares ("warm and cuddly"), the orientation-less straying all over the tarmac shows that Air France is always open to try new ways, and the lazing and unprofessional behaviour of drivers gives a signal about Air France being an attractive workplace for people who do not want to submit their daily work like to the stress and pressures of modern society.
