While I have been affected as well, I just keep saying to myself, 6 more months.

It is unfortunate, but I have been the most successful when I keep bothering either the NW people (If I bought a delta ticket) or the DL people (purchasing a NW ticket). It sucks, and we shouldn't have to, but nothing is perfect with mergers. So just pester those people and hope for the best
