The OP got SIX upgrades which technically NW should have not done because you can only upgrade one companion, not FIVE. ^ to NW.
The OP did not receive an upgrade for SEA->OGG because NW and DL do not give free upgrades to Hawaii, period. Normally only in the case of an oversell will Plats find themselves upgraded for free to the front of the bus. Clearly this was not an oversell if upgrades were selling for $150. The OP asked for an upgrade and was declined. This means absolutely nothing in terms of this thread and NW elites being second class on DL. The OP had every right to pay $150 x 6 to ride up front if they wanted to (and assuming the flight had 6 open seats up front).
