Hi skunker,
The usage of credit card authorization forms isn't specific to just Westin Langkawi either. Some other properties have similar practises.
This would help to prevent any fraud or dispute from Credit Card companies which might be possible via internet transactions.
In addition, it might be better for some members if they are asked to pay for the deposit separately than charged it immediately after a non-prepaid reservation is made.
