The rest of the pax in Y cabin and food for purchase. This way they would have kept the FFers happy and those who buy flexible Y tickets loyal. The FFers would continue to accrue and their status obviously means that they will continue to use Jet.
This way, when the economy recovers in a year or two, they can reintroduce J fares back on sale.

They should have done what IT has done - more sensible, as they would be able to sell the upgrades for some extra compensation - one meal option in C is the same as the Y cabin anyway...
