I was planning a second night here, but I'm going to check out instead and try the Hilton down the street.
That echoes my experience at another full service property and noted in an earlier message. I can understand the limited service properties going to an alternative delivery system, but the full service properties cutting back - against what was posted here and on the Marriott web site - is pretty low.

I am posting this message from a Hilton Garden Inn where I will get not only a newspaper, but a complimentary cooked breakfast and a full compliment of toiletries, including mouthwash (try this at a Courtyard).

After more than a decade as a Platinum at Marriott, I have voted with my feet. This stay makes me a Diamond at Hilton. ^ The cutbacks - not only the newspapers, but things like the lounge cutbacks are noticed makes the Marriott brands less attractive.

I hope they are reading this.
