If Hilton's system will not accept an 11 digit DC number, you have two choices:
1) Do nothing and contact Hilton HH for advice, to see if they can "force" your new number in
2) Remove the leading numbers from your new style bmi number, leaving an 8 digit string, starting with 0, if you have Blue status.

Good luck - and do let us know if this works for you. If it doesn't, you'll need to retro-credit it anyway - if HH cannot do this by forcing a new number in, I guess you'll need to contact DC for advice.
Thanks for your suggestions !

1 - I have tried to contact HH. Them has been clueless and usless, no way to force 11-digit number to HH systems for them. And them have no idea what can I do in order to solve the issue...

2 - Hmm, I was thinking about removing first 3 numbers - but worried that if I will try this I will end up getting no miles ( or even miles in somebody else account ).

I have tried to email DC few days ago but got no answer at all. Quite disappointing, considering that I'm staying a lot a Hiltons this day and would really like to get DC miles !
