11-digits DC number not accepted by Hilton - what to do for a new member ?
Dear FlyerTalkers,

I hope somebody will be able to help me with this issue :

I joined DC recently and received 11-digit member number. Now, as you know, Hilton systems do not accept 11-digit DC numbers, only 8-digit ones.

I know that it says on DC site that you can continue to use your 8-digit number - but, as new member, I never had the 8-digit number, I has been given the 11-digit strait away.

Now what can I do ? Should I just take away 3 digits from my 11-digit number? And if yes - first 3 digits or last 3 digits should be taken away ?

I have tried to email DC but have not received any answer. Hilton Diamond Desk also has been completely useless in regards - so you are my only hope :-)
