IIRC some of those eight jets on order are build options that can be another version of 777 or converted to 787. It's well-known that CO doesn't do subfleets, but I do remember an aircraft acquisition thread some time ago in which it was said that if CO ever bought 77W's the perfect route to put them on if they only had to pick one was EWR-TLV.
My understanding is these are converted 737 orders because the 78's are delayed. According to the Boeing website, CO still has 37 737-700s on order.
