I didn't get any benefits as a gold, but I got the room I asked for and I really
loved the big soaking tub in the bathroom after the long flight. The coffee
service in the room was good too - loved those instant nescafe cappucino
packets - can't find them in the states.

I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. If you go outside and turn right, then
cross the street there is a small alley type street with excellent coffee
and all types of breakfast goodies. Very reasonable, I ate there every morning.
