The miles for QF, AA and BA are the same. But yes, QF is known to be the program with the worst earn/burn ratio. It's strength is not getting cheap award flight by flying OW.
You join QFF because of easy credit card points, lifetime status, ease of status, oneway awards etc.
Why not just wait until you can join legitimately through Everyday Rewards web site in about 3 weeks time and not worry about being caught trying to trick the system with false information. Assuming you don't really live outside Australia/NZ then it could be seen as a fraudulent activity for the purpose of avoiding paying the fee. I would rather not take the risk and just wait 3 weeks and join legitimately on-line for free.
There is nothing dodgy about moving to Australia. I know enough people who have done just that. Didn't know about the joining fee waiver. This will trigger masses of enrollments once this scheme with Woolworth starts.
