I don't know the answer to your question, but Aer Lingus hasn't been a member of OneWorld for well over a year.

In general, being part of the same alliance doesn't guarantee you'll be able to check baggage through on different tickets. Conversely, it may be possible in this case, depending on BA rules and interlining agreements (I'm completely unfamiliar with both).
