For my usual PIT-EWR run that's either same day or 1 overnight, they are now pricing that as a B fare as far as the eye can see -- $818 rdtrp on a Q-400. Seems the fare rules require a 3 night min now.
US wants $128 for the same run (PIT-LGA). Yeah, I know, US and all, but 800 bucks for a Colgan flight is hardly the lap of luxury, where I can at least get an RJ or occasional mainline on US.
Even though my employer probably wouldn't question it, there is no way I can feel comfortable spending company resources on that when there is a better, cheaper alternative. I could get away with 2 or 3 hundred bucks, but once you are past 2x, we're well out of the territory of kettle penny pinching on the airfare.
