All I remember from the meal plan was that it cost US$99 for a certain number of coupons, and there is a set number of coupons to be used for each meal in each restaurant at the hotel. When the coupons are used, it includes everything in the meal - appetizer, drink, main course, and dessert.
We wanted to upgrade to the villas, and they wanted to charge us US$80 per room, per night. We opted to do it, and then saw the rooms (looked out to a small garden, we wanted ocean view), and then downgraded back to regular rooms.
