I've been searched every time I entered my place of employment for over 8 years (when I worked at the nuclear power plant), and signs present at the entry and exit points warned that searches could happen at any point. Didn't especially annoy me there - but then, there was REAL security at the plant.
If I were in the position that TSA is currently in? I'd *WELCOME* it. They've been caught red-handed FAR too often, and they KNOW it (as an institution). Security screening of TSA personnel might, at this point, be the only thing which would ease the minds of the public about the trustworthiness of the screeners. With respect to security of the personal items the passengers are forced to check, at least.
Baggage handlers, too, of course - screen those two groups alone, and baggage theft would drop to essentially nothing, eliminating one of the major complaints against TSA. Or, to borrow a phrase from the apologists and aim it back at TSA - "If you're innocent, you've got nothing to worry about. What have you got to hide?"
