Is CX really offering compensation for downgrades from A to D on the OWE fares when the schedule changes in advance?!?

IME, in the past, they would only compensate if it was due to a last-minute aircraft swap. Technically, the AONEx ticket only entitles you to travel in J if there is no F, and there should be no compensation.
