BP check at WTMD disappearing?

I've posted on here before about how 2 airports I frequent, MCO and BUF, opposite of TPA, JAX, SYR and ROC performed the ID check only at the "TDC" station and didn't (usually didn't in the case of MCO) bother with the annoying recheck of the BP at the WTMD. Some of the TSO's that post on here have stated that this silliness is intended to stop SSSS pax going unnoticed at "TDC", getting to the gate without the special scribble on their BP, and so necessitating a visit to the gate by a travelling team of TSA gropers to clear the SSSS pax to fly. (This result, of course, was always highly dependent on the GA's level of paranoia, or belief in the SSSS part of the script for the circus.)

When I went through ROC the other night there was no second check of the BP at the WTMD. I was able to get a supervisor to confirm that this is due to the new rarity of SSSS, and is now SOP for ROC.

Anyone else seen this interesting reversal of TSA annoyance, (the first after de-nutting the SSSS program, a particular positive for interlines, that I recall in a long time)?

(It is helpful to know in advance, as much as feasible, given the predictable unpredicatability mantra of the circus, if the BP has to be produced for a second check at a specific airport).
