Angry Password Reset

Every few months the elal.co.il website tries to force me to change my password. I HATE this "feature" and cannot understand why they insist on it. I have usernames and passwords for dozens of sites, airline sites as well, in which I am never required to change my password.

But here is the kicker with El Al: today the site prompts me to change my password and bumps me to a page where I am forced to choose a new password and of course it can't be the same as anything I have used in the past. Then, when I proceed and enter the new code, it bumps me to an error screen "sorry, you can't change your password at the present time" (rough translation from the Hebrew).

Here's another great one: They recently added a "My Reservations" link in the "e-club" section. LONG overdue and still of limited useability. On the interface, they provide links both to "Check My Trip" as well as "Update My Reservation." The Hebrew site links work fine. The English site are all BROKEN LINKS!!!!

And yet another: The El Al "IFLY" reservation system still won't let you book a stopover! The "multi-city" feature on every major travel site lets you load 4 or 5 legs into one reservation without a problem. El Al doesn't allow you to book TLV-LHR on Sunday, LHR-JFK (codesahre) on Tuesday and JFK-TLV on Thursday. They just don't provide for it. For no apparent reason! Isn't that one of the purposes on codeshare?

HAIM ROMANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are a smart, talented, sophisticated and successful guy. FIRE THE WHOLE DAMM "IT" STAFF. THEY ARE MORONS!!!! The El Al website (including e-mail templates, check-in system, bridge to Amadeus, et al) is a sham and a disgrance, both for your company and for the country as a whole, since you are the "national" airline. YOU, HAIM ROMANO certainly know better. HALAS!
