In other words, I would be purchasing a ticket [XXX-JFK]-CDG-HKG-DPS-SIN-CDG-[JFK-XXX] where the bracketed segments are on a wholly separate itinerary aboard DL on 006 (DL) ticket stock.
And of course I won't call the airlines...keeping under the radar is what we need to do.
If your JFK-CDG flight is within 24 hours of your XXX-JFK flight, then AF should be able to check you through, even if your tickets are on two ticket stocks. Don't worry.
