You are correct in reference to the J fare applicability though, that would require DL metal TATL de facto. You're also correct regarding C fare rules, they didn't specifically prohibit DL metal TATL, however it was impossible to book DL metal TATL, only a codeshare which seem to be only offered by AF.

The AF portions were horrible. I would have much preferred DL at the same price and I'm sure any sane person would agree with me, no?

Oh, and BTW, I wouldn't say I prefer DL over AF in TATL Business. Guess that makes me insane...

FYI - Delta allowed me to re-route through LHR, and change to a direct LHR-JFK flight on DL, for those who said AF was worse then Delta... I've never flown Delta so thought I would try.
