Why is this hard to pull off? You will not get mailed anything to this address until you get mailed a real plastic card. There is nothing stopping you to then later change your address to the Australian one. I personally know many people who have done that.
Just be aware that while this might not violate the letter of the T&Cs, it might violate the spirit of the fine print.
