I understand where you are coming from. I use various publications (including CN traveller) to guide me on my travels. However I find reports on Flyertalk and some of the other highly regarded publications more accurate for top end luxury resorts and hotels.
I certainly trust the reviews of people here in the Lux forum...some of the other forums can be sketchy.
I am willing to guess that the people who rave so highly about Trisara & Aman probably haven't stayed at the JW and are simply "poo pooing" it because it's a lowly Marriott property.
Still, you have to concede that for a property to win "best of" in T+L, CN Traveler, AND Tripadvisor, it has to be pretty darn special. I'm not trying to be Marriott's spokesman...I'm just asking people to keep an open mind!
