The hotel has a wonderful website with very nice photos and one of the things that drew me in was that every room has an entrance to the interior courtyard, a unique feature not usually found in hotels or only in the higher priced room categories. The history of the building also adds some colour and it seems colour is becoming rare in an increasing beige world. I've been guilty of opting for bland, predictable chain hotels rather than going for more memorable unique local gems and I want to start experiencing more of the destinations rather than merely seeing them.
