I seriously doubt there are enough FT MR type people to put a serious dent in UA's Bottom line. They are bleeding cash for a multitude of reasons, but I doubt FTers and Mileage Runners are anywhere close to the main reason.
I wasn't giving us that much credit
but I am saying that there WILL be people that hit their goal sooner and stop flying UA to test the waters at AA, DL, CO etc because they got their goal, they will take their normal business elsewhere not keep it there because they got their desired elite level.
DL forums already have a lot of people saying this is great, I can go to another airline sooner and still have my Medallion status for 2010 at DL.
