I'm extremely intrigued as to how you've avoided the Airline Fuel Surcharge --- the general source of large differences between quotes (and the purpose of this thread) ---for both itineraries

Would you please clarify again what exactly are the differences between the 2 itineraries in regard to the first 2 legs ---- i.e. dates, times, flight number to NRT, flight number to JFK?
