Were you going to be in the Midwest for something or did you think the Midwest has dairy? I lived in the Midwest and I didn't see much commercial dairy. I'd have to say that milk in upstate NY is quite excellent so Ithaca, NY has ready use of it and NYC is within 5 hours of a lot of good dairy.

The Midwest US is home of 2 pizza styles: St Louis Style which is thin crust a la Imo's. Then Chicago has Chicago style which is thick crust and I think heavy on the sauce.

Neither is really known for prime ingredients. Especially not Imos!

ETA: I looked up dairy cows. Looks like Wisconsin and California have the most dairy cows followed by NY and Idaho so 1 midwest state has significant dairy cows.
