I am moving ever so close to the 2MM marker!

To me, there are two big benefits:

1. never stressing about getting to Platinum again (especially now with the requirement to PAY to do a Gold/Plat challenge!)
2. the eVIPs

I have a question about the eVIPs - what is the typical validity period? Does it depend on when you cross the threshold? The reason that I ask is that I have a lot of control over when, so if I can gain a full year extra of validity by posting my crossover mileage in January 2010 instead of December 2009, then I will do so. I've seen mixed messages on the boards on this issue, perhaps it is an old eVIP vs. new eVIP issue?
