I have done the Amtrak on the california Coast and from SMF to RNO. Both were very scenic but I was young. In fact I may have been too young.

Not that it would stop my parents. They have told me repeatedly that they use to stop at historic markers off the free way and drop me off and leave me only to return later and pick me up.

They also lost me as a 2 yr old at Disney World. Of course that is a trip I am also suppose to remember.
