I'd say that you won't get a nickel's worth of leeway out of US,
much less any quarter.

When I had my (major, life-threatening) accident a few years ago,
I was at least Gold and probably Chairman's, and they wouldn't cut
me any slack on my itineraries. On the other hand, UA worked with
me to reschedule everything I had on them, with no change fee or
anything.
