Requesting a refund due to medical emergency
I had booked a roundtrip to SJC for my grandmother in first class for April. She was traveling with her sister to go away for a little. Last week her sister had a stroke and it does not look like she will be able to walk. Needless to say she wants to cancel her trip.
I know if I call the reservation line she will be charged the $150 change fee and will only be given a credit for future US travel. Is there anyway to get a full refund or get the credit back on her credit card; due to the nature of the cancellation? She does not know when she will fly next so she would appreciate the money back, even if its $150 less than what she paid. Anyone have any ideas of who to write a letter to or call?
Thanks for the help
