I called UA to change my flights that were booked by TYP and the rep told me that I needed to call Expedia. I explained that I just want to exchange for a new flight and get UA vouchers for the difference and they told me that I still needed to call Expedia and that Expedia can do all that including issuing UA vouchers. Have you had an actual itinerary to rebook? When was your original tkt booked?
Why dont you do this at airport ticketing counter, simply ask agent to change your existing itinerary to the new itinerary you are going to fly. The voucher part comes naturally w/o any asking since the tkt is non-refundable.
These calls of asking for airline vouchers are going to cause trouble for the callers and the rest who can stay calm and wait...
