I remember back in late January he originally asked for the 90K $2700 redemption, but then he claimed he was not comfortable doing it, as his plan was to do tha Asia travel, and he was worrying that he could not use the value of cancelled ticket for the Asia trip.

My reply to him was either he waited till his travel plan firmed up, then just redeem it at 1:1 for his trip to Asia in Economy, or went the route everybody was doing, looking at it from the "value preservation" mindset. He could have enough airline cash to cover the Asia trip in economy and then have a tidy balance left for future trips, had he made up his mind back then.

He would have to make do what he can now - which he already posted again about a potential $1800 90K redemption and someone posted the correct way of calculation to him.
