Probably, unless they were able to rebook on a flight scheduled to "depart no more than one hour earlier than scheduled and arrive no more than two hours later than scheduled".
Many airlines, though, have a tendency to wait until the last minute to make calls notifying pax of changes (right before that 14 day window)--so it's highly likely the OP would have received a call in May/June.
