When I took a DUB bump (2004) I got put on CO to CDG and then AF back up to DUB. They will try for SkyTeam partners first but will do what they can with what inventory is available. You can ask about the BF upgrade as part of the deal, but I would not expect one; they seem to guard that pretty heavily.
They usually offer hotels and money, but coach seats on later flights (CO or otherwise). I don't think I've heard many reports about bumping to another flight in business for longhauls.
