I've been CP for 10 consecutive years (until now) with over 900,000 EQM. I made the switch to CO a couple of months ago with a Plat status match and I'm not looking back. Flying is fun again and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. Already have a SIN MR planned in a couple of months.
I agree with the OP about the pluses of switching over to CO. In addition, the website works great (there's even an option to save your itinerary as a pdf)! Also, you only need 75k EQM for top level. Upgrades are easy to come by on some routes. On the other routes the discounted first class fares (A) are reasonable for what you get. The Z fares on the international routes can be good too.
I stuck with US for a long time because of the terrific employees and an express airport that was only 15min from my most frequent destination. Now I'd rather drive 3 hours to EWR. It is well worth it (but only for the first flight of the day, of course!). Good luck to all regardless of whether you stay or switch.
