Sorry to hijack this thread a bit but I too have been looking at The Palomar for a DC visit (from Ireland) in April.


One of the great concerns I have is that it is a pet friendly hotel. I believe it has a pet-free floor bt I have visions of dogs and cats running around barking mad.

I have a bit of a phobia when it comes to hygiene and animals. Is this a totally irrational fear? Please tell me that the Palomar is not actually a pet haven. I believe the bar is called The Bark Bar.

If you think I would not be a suitable patron for this hotel please recommend another in The Dupont Area of similiar standards and price range.
